Today is my monthly maintenance window and I have had issues today with getting KB4048953 for Server 2016 installed on my virtual machines. Seems to have installed fine on the host machines but failed multiple times on the VMs themselves. Specifically, Windows 10 cumulative update KB4013429 fails to download and install correctly, but for some reason, it looks like the process is completed successfully when users do the whole thing. Windows Update failed to install. When the Windows Update utility fails, fixing it is usually easy and just requires you to figure what the issue is and why it's happening.
Hello there,We are setting up our 1st Windows Machine 2016 hosts. After effective set up via OSD, 2 up-dates become available in software program center for set up.Both KB3200970 and KB3197356, are obtaining downloaded but fail during set up. I find that these updates fall short with the information in WUAHandler.sign: 'Successfully canceled working set up' after 10-15 moments. After some analysis, I foundthat this could become associated to the optimum run period that is definitely defined for these improvements. These are usually set to 10 mins. I've increased the work period for both to 45 minutes and today both repairs installed great (both are cumulative improvements)From what I read, I would expect that this max run period would not prevent the installation, only the monitoring via SCCM is ended. But everytime the set up failed.Maximum run period (minutes) Pieces the maximum quantity of moments that a software update installation offers to complete before the set up is no more time supervised by Configuration Supervisor.
This setting is furthermore used to determine whether there is enough time to install thé updatebefore the end of a maintenance screen. The default environment can be 60 moments for services packs and 20 mins for all various other software update types. Values can array from 5 to 9999 mins. Therefore anyone who is certainly experiencing the same? Shouldn't those large updates have got a higher maximum runtime by defauIt?Regards,WiM.
Yet another strange kb4048955 upgrade problem but various from the typical 'cannot install' issue. On examining my upgrade background it was shown as getting failed with code 0x8007139f.
I utilized my typical method which resolved the earlier several a few months such difficulties with the big system up-dates. On rebooting and checking out for up-dates it reported that no updates were needed but the history still showed it as getting failed on the prior try. I downloaded the up-date file by hand whereupon on trying to install it, it reported that that revise was already installed. Background still showed it as getting failed. The error code provided is certainly that Windows Defender was not working; this is usually accurate as I has been using Avast as antivirus. I do not know whether to believe the Background or the information from manual updating.
Will this ring any bells with anyone? I discover Microsoft'h record with these Originator updates incredible.Robert Donald.
